This transmission of sound, from metal through air to flesh, is a vibration of possibility. Sounds rise and fall, like waves upon a distant shore. And we take them in. We sense them beyond just hearing, into feeling and knowing. In the capable hands of Michael Bettine, the sounds are not just played, but they are manipulated and expanded, taking on a life of their own. The energy is palpable, physical, visceral. Recording Notes

All tracks recorded live to 2-track stereo using the ORTF miking method. There is no studio processing. All effects and sounds are done live, by the artist’s hands. Because there is no compression on the tracks, the dynamic range is extremely wide. Adjust your speaker volume accordingly. Quality headphones add an extra dimension to the sound.
